On Thursday the 11th of June 2020 was, under normal circumstances, planned to be the National Datacentre Day: a day on which everyone interested in datacentre could have a look at our datacentres. But a virus which has nothing to do with computers thought otherwise and made us provisionally postpone the event to Tuesday the 13th of October.

We at Previder regretted it that we could not organise this event on the 11th of June. Also because National Datacentre day is always a nice occasion to explain aspects which are important when choosing a datacentre. For example, certificates and insurance reports give a good indication of how a datacentre provider handles themes such as quality, safety, availability and sustainability. In order to still be able to provide you with this data, we will give a short overview of the certainties that Previder offers.

Basic Legislation

Every service provider in The Netherlands needs to fulfil certain quality requirements. For digital service providers these norms are elaborated in the Dutch law safety network- and information systems (WBNI). this law also provides the guidelines with regards to safety, availability and continuity.

General norms

Beside the fact that Previder fulfils to all the necessary basic legislation, we also hold in esteem the ISO 27001 certificate for information-security and -management. Next to the ISO27001 we also certify to the NEN7510 certificate, which describes data-security for healthcare. The BIO (Baseline Information Security Government) certification is an addition to the ISO27001 which lays also within our capabilities. Lastly, we also fulfil to the ISO27017 and ISO27018, with strict norms to cloud security and cloud privacy respectively.

Specific certifications

We are also proven to be capable for the following certifications and authorisations:

  • PCI DSS, for companies specialized in processing credit card transactions
  • GZN (Well managed healthcare-network) which implies that we can supply information-systems to healthcare providers on the crossing of healthcare-data.

Distinctive transparency

Previder is obviously not the only provider who fulfils to the previously mentioned certifications. However, we are distinctive in the way we handle it. The bigger international parties mostly give little information on what they do with the certificates in practise. At Previder, customers can look up the periodic SOC 2 insurance reports in which our protocols and measures are clearly described. This type of transparency is highly valued by our customers and is what makes Previder special in this market.

The certification which we find very valuable because it is so close to our vision of societal responsibility is the BREEAM-certificate with qualification ‘Excellent’. BREEAM is an independent assessment method which reviews the sustainability performance of buildings and ‘Excellent’ is the highest possible qualification. Our building, The Expo Business Park in Hengelo, was the first in The Netherlands to be completely build to fulfil the requirements of a BREEAM Excellent building.

It may be obvious, but Previder does not only fulfil to a lot of relevant certifications, we also illustrate what we do with it and why it is valuable. More and more organisations find it a reassuring combination of aspects – a good reason to choose Previder as your IT-partner.
